Ann
Stylist, Level 7- Gulfport Beauty Academy
Ann’s spark for hair actually began in a stylist’s chair. While getting her hair done for her senior prom, she casually told her stylist that she wanted to be an artist. He then suggested that she become a hairdresser because it incorporates all of the art principles-color, textures and line design, except instead of an artist’s brush, she would be using a hair brush.
Ann loves the opportunity to create beautiful works of art with her hands, from color and cuts to fabulous up-styles. She has even traveled overseas on several occasions to teach her techniques to others.
In her free time, Ann extends the artist’s brush through oils, watercolors and other art mediums.
“In life, everyone is given ‘stuff’ (good, bad and ugly). What you do with your ‘stuff’ makes you who you are . . . your choice: better or bitter?”
